I seen the jiffy electric in action and it spins about the same as the SM elektra. My nieghbor didn't like it though. Brand new full charge and could barely drill 6 holes in 18" of ice. I have Seen both in action and I liked the SM more. I would sure like to get one for my wheel house someday.

I went with the strikemaster "big volt"

I couldn't pass up the price. I'll report back with test results after the water turns hard.

Who needs hardwater to try it dave, take it out to camp and try yours in the sand out there and see how they work for sandpoint drilling. don't be afraid!
