Time for a new battery?

I have a Marcum LX3 and just wondering how to tell if your battery is shot. Last year towards the end of the season, after a couple hours on the ice with a full charge, it would look like I was getting lots of interference, no matter how much I played the with gain or IR, it kept getting worse and worse until there was nothing being read, not even the bottom. Does this sound like a battery issue, or the transducer?

Sounds like a battery issue. As my battery starts to die, i have to turn the gain up higher and higher to see my jig, and eventually the bottom.

I would reccomend a 9ah battery.

Dtro has also listed a new lithium battery which is smaller, lighter, and higher amps...but it comes with a price tag!
