controlled hunt LQP

Recommended Posts

Wait until December and come out when there is no drawing and state blinds are first come first serve. The weather and bird count is ideal. December hunting is as close as it gets to the flight path the birds took when I was growing up out there in the 80's and 90's.

Well, well I never applied (partly due to the above post). I did apply for a hunt at Carlos Avery. And guess who will be there opener smile

I'm assuming since this is controlled the hunting pressure won't be ridiculous and that early goose wasn't open on this part of CA.

I'm very excited, we applied for the most popular dates. Didn't think I had much of a shot. Anyone been drawn for this before?

I've sent in the card a few times. I think it's worth it as you'll get in the first drawing and can usually get a pretty decent blind or at least one that has been producing a few birds...haven't done it for a few years as you can get in on the second morning drawing for a blind without sending in a postcard beforehand and can still get lucky and get a decent blind..just kind of depends from which way they're coming/going from the lake. Maxxed Out is right though the later the better.

Maxxed Out - I saw your new billboard in Milan last weekend...looks great!
