trail cam follies

Recommended Posts

Never heard this one before but a coworker of mine came to work this morning, pretty disgruntld. Apparently he went to check his trail cam on friday an couldnt find it right away, after a quick investegation it was foundout that he had set is cam in a small cluster of youn aspen an the one tree he attached his cam to which was about 6 inches diameter, was cut down by a beaver an an then drug to the lodge where he found the cam still attached to the tree totally submerged an ruined. Funny, but not funny.

I guess the moral of the story is. Put camera on big tree so beaver can't drag it to the water and hope that it doesn't get smashed when the tree comes down. Maybe a person should start a trailcam insurance company. I wonder if there would be a market for it?

We still have a permanent stand in a huge basswood tree that uprooted two years ago, that the floor's now perpendicular to the ground instead of parallel. If we could stand the tree back up the stand's still completely undamaged...
