New Reel

My Rhino 230 finally gave out after 2 years (pretty good for a $25 reel). I had a big bass on when the gears stripped out on one side. It still reels, but with any weight on the reel it "skips" big time. I did some searching and decided on a Penn Fierce 4000. My first choice was a Penn Battle, but I couldn't find one for under $100 and my budget was about $60. I got it for $50 free shipping, brand new, and from what I can tell its just as good as the battle, but with less bells and whistles. Anyone else have this reel?

Just for giggles, I completely disassembled the reel. grin

Here are all the parts laid out, if anyone wants them (I have no idea why you would confused) just let me know, they are all free. The only thing really good seems to be the drag plates, and the two spools.

This seems to be the issue, rounded off gears as expected.

Here it was starting to eat through the body of the reel.
