DooWap
Heading up to girlfriend's family cabin the weekend of August 17th on Long Lake. I've been up there the past 3 years but this year is my first year with a boat. Prior to this I haven't really looked forward too much to this trip since their family doesn't fish so they have a ski boat and jet skis up there (tough to fish out of either of these). Well since I just bought myself a fishing boat this year I plan on dragging it along. The past years I've been up there I've always heard Long Lake is a solid walleye lake. I understand it's August and the fishing will be tougher, but does anyone have any experience fishing Long and perhaps a tip or two to get me started? I'd rather stick to Long Lake but am I better off just driving over to LCO or the Flowage? Thanks in advance.
snoozebutton
Well, looks like no one's been fishing Long recently including me so I can't help you with that. If the walleyes aren't cooperating there and you head to another lake, I'd try either Sand or Grindstone. Nice walleyes in LCO but they can be hard to find. DooWap
Thanks for the advice snooze. I'll just go at it the old fashion way and try to cover a bunch of water trolling and hopefully stumble upon something.
