Lowrance and LakeMasters

I've been out of the loop lately but I thought Lakemaster was Humminbird exclusive. But Cabelas has "NEW" Lakemaster Lowrance Pro Map series for sale. Maybe things have changed since last year?

Anyways,I bring this up cause I was looking for mapping for my HDS Gen2. If anyone has this for their new HDS Gen2, I'd like to hear some reviews before I purchase some lakemap software...leaning towards Lake Insights HD 2012.

Thanks,

CC

Lowrance has new lake insight chips in a pro model and high definition (shaded relief) but the lakemaster branded chips are not available for lowrance anymore.

The data used on the new lowrance chips is probably the same because I looked at them both side by side and they looked identical.

Cabelas does sell the Lakemaster pro maps for the lowrance. If you look at the humminbird and the lowrance the difference is Humminbird says Minnesota 12' where lowrance doesn't have a year on it. I believe the lowrance lakemaster hasn't been updated in a couple years but they still sell one.

Also they don't sell the LOW chip or Rainy chip ect... Maybe this is the last of them... IDK...
