Humminbird 587ci HD DI Combo

BrdHunter01

Question

So I purchased this unit a cpl weeks ago and I absolutely love it! The down imaging allows me to see fish that I could not see with the sonar alone.

The only think I'm not that happy with is the screen size... 4.5" Im looking for this same or comparable screen. Cabelas doesn't sell the screen alone and I'm having some troubles finding just the screen. any ideas on where to get one? Also is it possible to hook both screens to the one transducer? If so what do I need?

Thanks for any help in advance.

The screen size is the only reason I went to the 597 instead of the 587; particularly when you split the screen between the GPS map view and the down imaging/depth view.

The 500 series does not allow you to network the units together. The 788 can be linked together with another unit, but you are out of luck with the 587 (as am I with my 597).
