Buying a used car?

Recommended Posts

What ever car you pick, bring it to "your" mechanic and have them look it over. Then you get an un biased opinion. If the salesmen wont let you do that, go to a different dealer. A well maintained high millage vehicle is much better then a low millage car that hasnt been maintained.

Yup, that's right. Either way you have to do your homework.

The car I have now came out of the newer with higher miles category. I saved big dollars going this way and with my driving style the high miles have leveled out to average for the year. Now that the miles have normalized, typical going rate for this car today is roughly what I paid for it two years ago.
