rundrave
here is a link that will provide stocking reports:http://gfp.sd.gov/fishing-boating/tacklebox/lake-surveys/fish-stocking.aspxThe only lake on there that specifies is Family Park on the edge of Sioux Falls. That's a very small lake that doesn't even allow boats its only shore fishing. Honestly I wouldn't make a trip from out of state just to fish that lake.here is a separate link that shows netting results conducted by the SD GFP:http://gfp.sd.gov/fishing-boating/tacklebox/lake-surveys/southeast-lakes/default.aspxI would say your best bet is Brandt, Poinsett or the Missouri river below the Pierre dam but even those as you can see on the Brandt report don't have many white bass.Good luck
carpshooterdeluxe
81 sloughs. Right time of year you can get a white bass on every cast.
creepworm
Last fall I was fishing from shore on Poinsett and the guy next to me went 17 casts with a white bass on every cast. That certainly is not the norm but there are white bass in most lakes in SD. If it were me, I would go to Oahe and fish the windy side, especially if fishing from shore. BlueLundFishrman
They were hammering them off the dock at lake Thompson a couple weeks back. I am sure you could drill them off the rocks along the campground shoreline.

basssmasher*
kind of like stripers, but on a much smaller scale. There is also a cross of a white bass and a striper and those are called wipers
