If you caught an EYE on opener what depth?

It was a bust for me and about 10 guys I talked to for eye's this weekend. I tried 10' to 40' and only landed one pike!

If you found them what depth were they at?

Shallow, and I wasnt even trying to catch them.

Fished a metro area lake from 5:30 - 9 and landed 1-19inch walleye at 8:30 in 19 ft of water. Location was just on the edge of a 13 ft mid lake hump.

My buddy and I caught 14 eyes Saturday afternoon, kept 11. Pretty much all lindy rigging shiners in 12-14'.

21"&19" Both in about 12 ft pulling cranks

9 to 16 feet. even shallower after dark.

15-18' depth but we could only find small fish. Biggest was 13".

We marked them deeper but my partner was not rigged or inclined to fish that deep.

With all the rain run off here in south central Mn I just looked for areas where the run off came into the lake. I fished the outside of the submerged weed line (the lake went up 2 feet) In 8-10 foot of water. I had no hard time finding them. They were moving around in a the area but stayed within 50yd of each side of the stream. The bigger Walleyes seemed to be chasing fingerling Walleyes because we always caught them together.

On Leech for the opener. Caught the two biggest ones in 17 fow, caught the rest in 7 fow.

5 - 6 fow, all day long on both inside and outside turns on top of steep breaks.

Pitching jigs 4-8 FOW. No trophies, but many nice eater size.

Well from what everyone is stating it looks like next weekend unless they start moving deeper it's move in shollower for me.

Pitching jigs in about 12 fow on a break caught 3 guys 16 walleyes (size was smaller at 8" - 14") in 4 hours. We fished an East Central Lake and took home 6 fish. We also got a mix of other species, so it was a fun morning out.

Between 3ft and 9ft. Caught them with slip bobbers, jigging, and Rapalas. Nothing very big though.

Pitching Jig and Minnow if 5 Feet and Slip bobber and leech the same depth. Caught about 40 thirteen inchers on a metro lake.

Caught some in four feet at night trolling Raps, and I caught some in 31 ft at the base of the flats (on Mille Lacs). Marked them pretty much all over out there.

Only got out for an hour or so but picked up one eater in about 10-12' just outside of the weedline

Was fishing for northerns but the one walleye we caught (decent eater size) was caught backtrolling in around 9 FOW with a size 5 Tail Dancer.

I caught two off the dock (18." and 17") in about 6 feet of water. Only had a half hour to fish so I thought that was pretty good.
