RumRiverRat
So I read about the Donkey Rig on the internets.I have been using it for about 4 weeks and I must say it is a neat tool.It is the next evolution of the Double Fluke rig.I used it extensively on Lake Pepin last weekend and on 3 different occasions I caught 2 smallmouth on the same cast.Another reason MN needs to allow 2 lines/2 lures on a single line. Ctrl_Alt_Dlt
Also...what kind of fluke do you use?
KickNBass
What is MN DNR's rationale for not allowing two lines? Inevitable extinction of all game fish species in MN.
RumRiverRat
Also...what kind of fluke do you use? I have yet to find a Fluke I do not like to use.The Kinami Flash Shad is a Favorite. The Zoom Fluke and the beefier Super Fluke get a lot of use.The Trigger Shad from Cache Custom Lures is a new one for me this year and so far I like the action of the bait. RumRiverRat
Spent 8 hours on Lake Pepin today.Used the Donkey Rig about 80% of the time.Fished wind blown rock banks and points.Pulled in 2 fish at the same time 5 times. This rig would be killer on lakes where Smallmouth key on bait fish and not crawdads. It is asinine that only 1 lure per line and 1 line per angler is the law in MN. goblueM
Huh, I'll have to give this a try. Had schooling smallmouth on the river the other day when I was doing a canoe float
