I was able to break 80!!!! That was my goal coming into this year. Shot a 79 on Sunday, but double bogeyed the last hole. Made it by the short hairs! Now I have set a goal to shoot a round of 75 before end of season! Going to be hard, but I think I can do it. Taking a few days off now, shot 63 holes of golf in two days. Hit it again this weekend!

Nice! Fastest way to get down in the mid 70's is short game. It's amazing how consistently practices putting and chipping lowers the scores.

You can say that again!! My scores have averaged right around 81-82 for the year. Putting and chipping have been the key. Always nicer to have a 4 foot par put than trying to sink one from 15-20 feet!

I'm going to hijack this thread to brag a little!

My son ( who has been a scratch golfer the last cople of years) finally got his FIRST hole in one at a course near Springfield Mo. where he lives. He was playing by himself, but the guys in the group ahead of him( who were waiting to let him play thru) witnessed it!

He got by cheap. ( for buying drinks!!) Seems the course only sells sodas and sport drinks! No alcohol!
