I swtiched to the straight talk about 8 months ago. No issues with service and way cheaper than my other contract phone. Mine uses verizon towers. Got mine from wallyworld.

Yep, I've had mine for a few months now and it's been awesome. I don't do a lot of traveling, but haven't had coverage issues. Best part about it is other than sales tax, you don't pay all the fees and other misc. charges that you do with a regular cell plan.

The tricky part is, getting the right phone. I bought one that was a "touch screen" and it was a POS. I brought it back and got a Samsung that looks more like a Blackberry and it's been great.

I have also been very happy with my samsung. Mine is the one that slides open for texting, internet... I pay 33 bucks/month for phone service, texting, internet. About half of what I use to pay for a contract phone service.
