pikestabber
When you think about it, the Twins provide a valuable service to other MLB teams. We are the rebound dates. Had a string of bad years? Start your season with a sweep and be competitive in your division. You're welcome, Baltimore. Slumming in the bottom of the AL East? Come to Target field and get your swagger back. You're welcome, Boston. Paid too much for a slugger who isn't slugging? Bullpen ERA so bad it looks like a ZIP code? Invite the Twins to the coast and prepare to toast. You're welcome, LA. We went from being the piranhas to the pariahs in one fell swoop. Maybe "martyrs" is a better term. Sacrificing our teams dignity to get other teams out of a slump.Man, I hate being bitter, and I am not a fair weather fan...I still support the Twins and I always will. I watched over a 100 games last year. If I can stomach that, you think I could stomach this, but COME ON, MAN!
Musky Buck
It can only get better. Time for everyone involved in the organization to see what each can do to make things better. I see what Albert Pujols is not doing for the angels and I bet most thought he'd tear the cover off the ball, he likely will. I also understand Terry Ryan and the Pohlads not wanting to offer huge money to anyone really, now that they have look where we are. We could be sitting here with a Johan Santana also who has done little since he left. We're just kinda screwed for a few years now, I think most of us thought we wouldn't crash so quickly and dramatically, lots of games yet to go.
