Greybeard53
Been there, done that with the basketball routine. After many years and seven knee surgeries I decided to switch to fishing and work on developing my Charles Barkley physique.
Presco
Greybeard, unless I see a picture of you on a certified ruler, I am doubting your claim of 6'11''. Nice fish either way BigStick.

lookincalifornia
Q: how big was that fish?A: big enough to make you want to buy a scale.i'd say every bit of 6-6 1/2. i got a 22 1/4" that was over 6. that was 20 years ago and weighed dead so i don't remember the exact weight. time of year is everything when it comes to weight. a buddy of mine got a 10 pound eye in feb that was 28. i got a 7 1/4 in june that was 29 1/2. eggs=ounces.sweet fish on crappie gear. matthothand
I caught a 23 incher today and poor attempts at self-shot photos make it indistinguishable from a 5 pounder. My next purchase at BPS will be a golden rule (and batteries for my scale). The stick-on tape doesn't work well for pics on solo trips. If you count the jig mine ate it probably went 6lb 9oz. I wouldnt feel bad saying the first fish is a 7.
