Hillbiehle
I’m trying to figure out how to process our GST Tax Refund from 2011. I’m all over the HSOforum and can’t find what form. Can someone point me in the right direction? The bill is $4,919 in US Funds and I don’t even know what I should suspect to receive. I assume it’s worth the time to complete. Thanks in advance. Hiddenbay
From my experience the GST tax must be broken out on your bill. You have a year from date of invoice to claim on it. The best move is to call the Canadian number listed on the site and ask them. It worked for me.Good luck.
superbee
There is not a GST rebate anymore. We have HST and there is a refund if it is an elgible package. It is called something like Tour and Convention package rebate.
Robin
Hillbiehle,Here is a link to the form called GST/HST Rebate Application for Tour Packages http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pbg/gf/gst115/gst115-08e.pdf. You will need to fill it in as an individual, line out the business number and disregard the tour operator part. You can receive 1/2 back of the HST you pd, if like Superbee said it is part of an eligible package. You need to send in the form, your bill, and I give our guests a copy of our rate sheet with the services we provide listed, to the address on the instructions page of the form. Hope that helps.
