Fish Identification

Never tried silvers, but I love creek chub at certain times throughout the year. They're pretty finicky on water quality/o2 levels though - kind of a challenge to keep alive as a shore fisherman.

Somehow Jeremy Wade (River Monsters) would try to convince us that a school of angry Silver Chubs in 1962 took down two Iowa boys (and their little dog) who were innocently building a dam in the creek, never to be seen again......

and then when using his ultralight rod for them, he'd play up the fight, and wade into the water saying he had no choice but to get dragged into the currents to fight the fish

Hey, it's just like the history channel...If there isn't any evidence that the chubs didn't drag the two boys under in 1962 then there is plenty of B.S. to make an hour long show out of it...after all, you can't prove that the chubs didn't lose their normal diet and resort to eating people!

grineek

What about the story of the fish that nibbled on someone's balls?!?
