Melissa Neibache
I was at a local garden center today & saw this Eagle. First it was on a dead head tree, then it swooped down to the shore, grabbed a duck & flew off...what a site. Has anyone ever seen an eagle grab, kill a duck before? At first we thought it was a fish & then I looked on my camera & saw the orange feet.

Jameson
Last Fall I watched an eagle grab a coot, than fly to shore and gobble it down. It was awesome!

Paul
IT was quite disturbing, but I watched a larger adult Bald eagle grab a small dog, off of a dock in Ketchikan Alaska several years ago as some woman from a cruise ship had a tiny dog with her. dockothebay
Very cool capture! I saw this on the garden center's FB page, I never think to bring my camera over there, next time I will! And I'll be checking out that pond too Thanks for sharing and welcome to the group.
Melissa Neibache
That would be disturbing. I thought of that when I saw this eagle, we have a pond in our back yard & eagles sometimes fly over and I have a small bichon they could nab. Gotta keep an eye out! Melissa Neibache
All I had was my cell but luckily we live close ran home for the camera & it was still there! I'd definitely bring it again or drive by there periodically just to check that pond. Thanks Jackie!
