Nick Kuhn
You can usually save a lot at garage sales. The thing with garage sale lures though is they can be pretty hit and miss. Don't expect every crankbait you buy at one to run true.
blakjack23
Don't expect every crankbait you buy at one to run true. The same could be said for crankbaits at any retail store too though.
Stick in Mud
Yeah, it's tough to generalize about this issue. I usually buy pretty much anything I see that appears to be in decent shape and of decent quality. Most of the stuff at garage sales is dirt cheap, though once in a while I'll find some guy who wants $5 for his 15 yr old, chewed-up, rusty-hooked Rapala. Cliff Wagenbach
Garage sale tackle and lures can be great buys at times! You just will have to inspect them before you buy.I never pay more then 1/2 price for lures in good condition and usually much less.Rods, reels, etc. can be some real steals!Cliff
