Squeaky Front Wheel

Recommended Posts

I got a 98 ford escort and the passenger front wheel squeaks, when you go faster the squeak gets faster and when you compress the brakes it goes away. Now I figured it was the pads were shot and the little tab was rubbing but it is not, they still are in decent shape. Any ideas, could the hub be bad and making noise?

more than likely just your caliper hanging up a little, I doubt its your hub. Nothing too serious but worth having looked at sometime in the not too distant future. Could also try blowing out the brake assembly with a little compressed air, could just be dirt.
