Blind with shoot thru mesh windows

I shoot expandables so I won't shoot through mine. I friend of mine has shot numerous deer through his mesh with a recurve and fixed blades. I would try it first before shooting at a deer. Maybe limit the lenght of your shot to 15 yds? Make sure you are confident you can make an accurate shot or don't do it.

For turkeys, if the mesh comes out, take it out. Turkeys do not care. Deer are another story though.

Fixed blade heads have zero issues shooting through the net. I would not shoot the "over the top" opening mechanical heads, but the "open from the rear" type should be okay.

I have one blind where the net is sewn in and can't be removed. I actually cut a few well placed 3-4" wide verticle cuts out of the material to give me openings to shoot through.

I don't risk it. It's pretty dark in a blind with the back windows closed. I typically have all my front windows open. Had deer at 20 yards hasn't been an issue. As much time as I practice to make a good shot I don't need to worry about another obstacle.
