How well do the satellite dishes work that come pre-installed on Ice Castle Fish Houses? Are they easy to tune in? Also, do you need to buy a special 12v TV to be able to plug into a 12v outlet when not using a generator? What about plugging in a satellite receiver and/or dvd player?

They work pretty good for the most part, its nice having it out of the way. ... we run everything off of battery's and a DC/AC converter. We use the generator for charging the battery's.

So what do you plug in your tv, satellite receiver box, and dvd player into when you're running off batteries? Are there three 12v plugs located close to where your tv is?

You need an inverter to change 12V DC to 120V AC. A converter changes 120V AC to 12V DC.

Yes, we just hook the converter to the battery/s and we use a strip with enough available plug-ins for our needs.

Some guys run there generators all day I hate the noise and the wasting of and hassle of gas. You can run just about everything off the battery's, we usually use the Generator for the charging batterys, coffee-maker and microwave but other then that everything is run off battery using DC current or converted AC current.
