Fishing In A Portable Or Out In The Open

i always have my porty with hooked to the wheeler. it holds all my gear and gives comfortable seating while fishing. if i hit a hotspot or going to settle in for a night bite thats been consistant then over comes the cover. Bask in the glow of the led lights kick on the buddy and watch the silent locator for that line that just doesnt want to leave my jig alone. its nice to hear all that nature around you has to offer.

If you have a flip over style you can have the best of both worlds if you just flip it over half way. than you can be out of the wind and still enjoy the view. also you can drill a bunch of holes around to hole hop from time to time.

on really cold days I put my little buddy in the sled behind me and it makes a really nice place to go and warm up.

portable makes the extremes more enjoyable but when you want to find fish pick a warmer day no wind and hit spots portables can be an anchor depending on how easy they set up

If you have a flip over style you can put it only half way up to block the wind. then you can have the best of both worlds.

would rather fish inside, wind and that bright bulb in the air messes with me to much. I feel I can catch more fish inside. If I find a hot hole I will plunk my house on it a while and if it slows I will move

I hate being cold, so I'm in my porty - unless it's nice out and I'll hole hop a lil, but I'll be heading to the shack shortly. Plus I have my radio, chair, heater, gear, food/drink all in there.
