vex wall charger

Anybody know of a good cheap (after market) wall charger for a Vex battery? I'd hate to spend $25 on just a charger.

There are a bunch out there for about $10, but they are single stage, non regulated.

If your charger just failed, I would contact Vexilar. A good chance they will replace it for you. Now if you lost it that may not be the case. Worth a call...

This would actually be for a spare battery I use to power my lights. The charger in my FL-20 ultra pack works just fine, just don't want to crack open the ultra pack everytime I want to charge the spare.

I have an Ultra pac and I see no reason to open it up to charge a spare.

Just hook up the alligator clips on top of the battery and charge away!

If you have an extra transformer laying around in a drawer or out in the garage, that you don't use anymore or forgot what they attach to, you can can cut off the end plug, split the wires and attach some alligator clips.

Just make sure the amperage and voltage on the transformer are the correct specs. Off hand I think my charger is 12V and 800 milliamp.

Doesn't get much cheaper than that.

Finlander, maybe i'm confused about which pack I have, but mine doesn't have any alligator clips. In order to get to the leads, I have to take a couple of screws out of the bottom of the pack.

There are black and red terminals on top in the front of the pack though, wonder if I could use those to charge?

I did the same thing a DTRO, I dont even know how many amp my charger is. Hasn't bothered in the last 5 years.
