Vexilar FL-8 vs. Humminbird Ice 35

Hey everyone, my local Farm and Fleet has the Vexilar FL-8 for $265 on sale and the Humminbird Ice 35 for the same price it seems on alternating weeks.

Which one of these flashers seem to work best for you, if you have tried them both?

only used vex fl8 and marcum vx-1p but i do prefer the marcum over the vex. it has zoom, more power, and a more compact soft case. thats just my opinion. seen them for $274.99 which isn't too far off from 265. but if your only looking between the two i would probably get the bird. having a different frequency, dual beam, zoom, big screen, and almost as much power as the marcum i think its worth a shot. you would have to barrow a friends or something to truly make a wise decision you wont regret. thats up to you. but you cannot go wrong with any flasher. good luck.

I have an FL-8 and a Humminbird Ice 55. I really like being able to see the display when I'm off to side a bit with the Humminbird, not so with the FL-8. For the same money, I would go with the Humminbird.

I would go with the ice 35. It has zoom, dual beam, and I believe it works in deeper water. Just more features for the same money.
