Off to the Taxidermist!!!!

Recommended Posts

Talked with my Taxidermist yesterday and got everything all set for my shoulder mount!! Was thinking with his current workload, it might be less than 6 months for me to get it back. Can't wait to see him haning in my living room!

congrats! I've found it's usually a 9-10 month wait by the two people I've used. The majority of that time is waiting to get the hide back from the tannery, I suppose if he's doing it himself 6 months is doable.

Either way having something to wait for is a good position to be in, in the meanwhile, find the perfect spot, make sure there's a stud in the wall in that spot and enough room for the rack so it doesn't hit the ceiling, all good problems to have!!!

Congrats Musky. I have same thing going on. Got a decent 8 point. Outside spread 19 7/8. Good Mass, Decent tine length, 7 inch browtines, & perfectly symetrical. I have a buddy of mine that is a taxedermist and he'll be doing it for me.
