Box Blind

Hey guys, a couple of buddies and myself are building an elevated box blind to bow hunt out of. My question is what type of windows should we us for this? Is there anyone out there that has anything?

What you go with depends on how much you want to spend on windows. YOu can try and find used ones, new ones or plexiglass. I like 3'x 18" windows like the old basement/garage window for shooting bow out of and 16"x 2or3' for rifle. I bought a platic blind and got the idea from this and am working on building the stand now this way. Door in the back wall with one horizontal window, then the other walls will have one window vertical in the center of the blind with two windows next to it horizontal. Then in the corner where the front right and left sides meet, I will have another vertical window. With the stand being set up like a stop sign.

the picture is a ruff idea of what I am talking about and where I got my idea to start with. I like the up and down windows for shooting a bow out of better than laying the long end down.

I think having those tall windows will be key for bow hunting, so you can stand and aim sharply down if needed, as well as standing and shooting further out. Nothing worse than being in an awkward position while shooting a bow.

Corner vertical windows that go to the floor are critical in a box blind IMO.
