Ontario Canada Fly In Fishing Reports by LM Fly-in Outposts

Recommended Posts

Thought I would bump this thread to the top. Just as I have done the last 4 years on Fishing Minnesota, I reported our fishing reports/trip reviews and plan to do it again. Time is approaching when our first fishermen start to roll in (walleye opener). Will advise soon as I get some reports to post. What I intend on doing is reporting the reports jut as we have done in the past.

We gather these reports from our customers at the end of there trip. They fill out the report themselves on the flight home (words of the anglers themselves) and I'll post what they have to say. Stay tuned to this thread, if your interested.

As of today Wabigoon still has lots of ice out in the main part of the lake with areas of open water around. Appear it will be a "normal" ice out for timing for 2011 in NW Ontario.

Report: Everything was great, except the weather. This was our first time at Austin lake. Unfortunately a medical issue at home required that we leave our trip earily. The weather was basically cold and misty with wind during our short time at Austin. We were leaving the lake just as started to find good fishing spots. The day we left the weather turned nice. Cabin and equipment are very good. The Adams' are great people.

Report: Fishing was excellent morning, noon, and evening. Best area's where east and west of the dock, and also across the lake at the other end. Largest fish, Caught 2 pike 41 inches and caught blue walleyes too. Caught so many walleyes it was hard to carry a conversation with the other guy in the boat. Tried not catching walleyes by putting large northern baits on and still caught walleyes.

Lake: Wright

Dates: 6/4-6/8/2011

Group: Fisher

Report: Fishing was good at Graniteboss mouth but not in the main lake. Kaminiskag was slow but the walleye where big. If you wanted to fill the stringer just go to the river around the corner from the cabin and the big bay on the east side of the lake where best this year. Fishing here is always great every year. Caught 3 northerns over 40 inches and it was hard at times to find walleyes small enough to eat.
