Transplant Roses?

Can established Rose bushes be transplanted? And can or should they be cut back in the spring? We have 4 that are getting crowded out by the shrubs.

Sure can. Cut them back to 18 inches and move them where you want.

You can also split apart the roots and start new plants off them. I cut ours back enough to make the wife gasp but they come back like gang busters. I also cut back every bloom as soon as it starts to fade and they put out lots more blooms.
