Daughter wants me to replace the dirty scaley door on her 32" shower mounted on one of those fiberglass shower units. Lowes carries replacement doors. I have average do it yourself skills. Will I be able to hang a new door without making a bigger mess than we have.

Try this - let the kid do it while you supervise. She has a shower door she better learn how to use tools cause she probably doesn't have enough money to hire everything out and you're not going to be around forever.
