What are your thoughts on the Lakemaster Contour Elite product? I have the older version called something else and it was great for planning fishing trips. I could send my data to my GPS then drive to the spots.

Are they due out with an update this year? Hate to buy it now if they are.

The program is updateable. There is a button under help on the main screen for accessing updates. I just updated though I did find out you have to shut down the CU program after it connects you to the update page on the web in order fully download the update.

It is "not" a Lake Master product. They use LM input but the real deal is over at Strategic Fishing Systems plantocatch.com

I bought the software and am really inpressed by it. the only thing I see wrong with it is that it doesn't let you print the 3D view on your printer(you can only view them on the computer). I would like to see more lakes added as updates when they can. the information gained from the program is a good starting point. you still need to fine tune it since fish do move around.

Will the "Print Screen" key work to print out the 3D map? If not we use an application at work called "Snagit". You can select any portion of the screen to print. If you want to print a lot of maps it might be worth it. I think it costs ~$50.

Yeah, I read some on their forums that makes me think I want to wait until it gets a little more refined and also has more lakes. Pretty neat though. If I didn't already have a long list of cool stuff I want to get this spring, I would pop for it.
