DonBo
Green grass at Target field. April 8th will be here before you know it. Who else has tickets for the opener?

DonBo
All gone. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet! Well, beat the drum and hold the phone-the sun came out today! We're born again, there's new grass on the field.
sticknstring
What a pretty sight! I've got tickets but they're not until Aug 7th!
Dylan33
on a side note....I LOVE the scoreboard in right field. It'll be nice for guys like me with seats in leftfield.(although I still have to see Delmon struggle with flyballs up close)
solbes
Almost live...... The only change I didn't like was the spruce trees being pulled from center field. "I can't hit the ball, it's too distracting, blah, blah, blah." I thought they gave the outfield an authentic Minnesota flair. Are they going to add anything out there, or just stick with the neutral background?
sticknstring
I agree, it sure doesn't look/feel the same without the spruce trees. Perhaps a line of full-size taxidermy mounts would bring back the feel of MN to the ballpark? Hit the vitals on the moose and fans get a free Target Field dog? DonBo
I heard last night that ALL the batters had problems with the background. Even the umpires said they had a hard time seeing the ball. Most ballparks just have an ugly empty space back there, I'd guess that's all we're going to end up with too, an ugly empty space.
buzbunni
I heard last night that ALL the batters had problems with the background. I bet the pitchers wanted to keep the spruce trees. Nobody cares about the "poor" pitchers
