Bill Binkleman Fishing Facts

Recommended Posts

Down in my "man cave" in the basement, I have a collection of the original Bill Binkleman "Fishing News and Secrets" and the original "Fishing Facts" magazines. These date from the old Milwaukee Store days..right now I don't know what my start date is - until some time in the 70's when FF became repetitive and I stopped. These are all bound, cross indexed and referenced by year, volume, subject matter and cross-indexed under the original F+L+P = SUCCESS of Al and Ron Lindner fame. I'm 71 now and have no kids or grandkids to leave them to. If there is a market for them....I would really like them to go to good home. Any thoughts? I live in the New Hope area. Murph.

What ever you do Please don't throw them away!

I don't know if there is a market but I know my brother still has some of those copies and they are great to just read because fishing was just getting high tech with the green box and electric trolling motors. It was reading all those mags that got me into and made me a pretty good fisherman. If you want to get rid of them I will send my brother over. He lives in Champlin.

Isn't there a fishing museum in Little Falls? You could donate it to them

Hey Guys: Thanks for the feedback. I contacted the museum in Little Falls and they will be happy to take the donation of the bound magazines.

Lets do it. It sounds like it would be pretty neat.

    • I did put some runner rugs down the center 😁
    • This team is not going anywhere with  Tom Thibodeau as there coach.
    • Have to agree great game looked real good definitely more aggressive time will tell.
    • Wisconsin's traditional nine-day gun deer hunting season opens this Saturday and with snow in many northern areas and more in the forecast for Friday into Saturday but with otherwise relatively mild hunting conditions it should make for a good opener.Hunters can find all the information they need by searching the DNR HSOforum for keyword "deer." Or new for this year, hunters with mobile devices can download the Hunt Wild Wisconsin mobile app, which provides mapping, shooting hours and easy access to regulations. Hunters can download the app from the DNR HSOforum at keywords "hunt app."Little Manitou Falls at Pattison State Park has begun to ice over. Skim and shelf ice is forming on lakes and some smaller lakes have frozen over.Photo credit: DNRThis is the earliest possible opening of the season and while it is winding down in some areas, rutting activity is still noticeable with bucks visiting their scrapes and rubs and still being seen chasing does. A reminder that hunters must register their deer by 5 p.m. the day after recovery and registration is now easier than ever online, by phone or in person at registration stations. Search the DNR HSOforum for "GameReg," for details. Hunters can get a deer tested for CWD at no cost and can find sampling locations by searching for keywords "CWD Sampling." .
    • It looks great! Throw a few nonslip rugs down.  It's Winter after all! 😋
    • I converted mine to 1 ton Reese 12v winch. Seems to work well with my light weight wheel house.
    • Looks great but cold and slippery, I'm a carpet guy.
    • absolutely 100% yes. Like with the augers though, use a good drill. My Ryobi barely does both sides once on a battery, my Fuel is 1000 times better. It's not recommended to go down with a drill, only up. You'll see all this on Nutz w e b s i t e.
    • I missed it too, the caps always just own us.
