Frabill Hiber-Net

I need a new net and I'm contemplating getting the Fabill Hiber-Net. I played with it a bit at the store the other day and it seems like it would work well. The net slides into the handle in the new model.

Has anybody used the new model in the real world? Like/dislike?

I purchased one last year and returned it after one outing.

I've had mine for a year. Returned the first 2 that broke. This last one I just don't let any one in the boat deploy. They are real easy to bend,break,tear. It is a great idea and saves a ton of space, just not well executed. I wouldn't buy again.

They work well once you get used to how they deploy and how to use them. A tip is to use reel oil on the internal slide and they deploy and store smoothly.

Frabill has a new series of heavy duty folding nets out this season that are very solid and come in a wide range of sizes. If you would rather a folding net, then look them over.

I used one last season. I like it; however, mine took a month or so before it was broke in.

Thanks for the responses. Reviews don't sound very good. I'm tempted to buy one and give it a try and if it sucks return it. Hopefully they'd take it back at Gander Mountain.

Oil the slide, and you will love it.

I have one and I have used it hard for 3 seasons, works great.
