Itching for open water too. Just wondering if any new baits out this year to try. I see Rapala's got some new models out, but nothing looking as revolutionary as xrap was to me. Did not have much luck with the Clacking Raps. I actually started using Lindy Shadling's and had lots of luck on walleyes, especially the perch one (of course).

Every year I tell myself that I'll try and get into plastics for bass, but never do as I always have good luck with crankbaits.

Though, this year, I'd like to expand my walleye tackle. Gotta do the spinner rig system, all sorts of blades and bead colors to have in the box.

Need something to do until spring thaw.
