LegattoAD
I know that Thorne Bros does custom rod builds, but will they repair rods as well? I threw an eyelet on my last outing this year and need it fixed before the lakes open up. I couldn't find any info on their HSOforum except about their blanks. Anyone have any recommendations for a place in the north metro? Thanks a lot!

mainbutter
I lost an inch and an eyelet off the tip of my fly rod when a door closed on it, they repaired it up great!
desert_bulls
Just make sure if you have a lifetime warranty rod, you check with the vedor first. One of the eyelets came off one of my loomis rods and I called the to verify that my warranty won't be effected, but if I would have had somebody work on that eyelet, my warranty would have been voided. pureinsanity
If you would like to have someone on here do it (lots of rod builders), I would recommend going to the rod building forum and see how much someone would charge you. Might even do it for free?Otherwise thorne brothers or mid west rod and reel would be able to help you out. Id be willing to bet someone builds rods really close to you and you could save a trip and probably $$$
LegattoAD
Thanks for the responses guys! I'm thinking about going to the seminar at TB in April anyway, so I'll call ahead and see if they'll be able to take care of it while I'm there. Musky_Madness
Excellent work done there. I've made the trip numerous times for musky rods that will loose the rings out of the eyelets occasionally. Excellent work and haven't ever replaced one they've fixed.
Hula_Grub
They fixed one of my rod's eyelets last year. You'll need to leave it for a few days, but it was well worth the trip. Before I made the drive they made sure it wasn't the last eye that you can get a repair kit for anywhere. It was almost like they cared! kevfish1
Had a panfish sweatheart break somehow today on me. I mailed it in to them for repair or replacement as I cannot fish without this rod. The guy on the phone said they would take a look at it and let me know. Will see how this turns out. I love that rod as I caught a 43 inch northern on it once on Red Lake.
