FLnick87
I have some smaller racks that I was thinking of making a rattle bag out of. Has anyone made one they felt sounded better than the store bought ones? If so, how did you do it?
matchset
i've never done it. i usually just carry a set of shed antlers as my rattlers...but i could see a few situations where a "bag" would be nice. here's how id do it.1. 6 inch tines. 2. mesh type fabric3 two draw-strings on each end to allow you to add or subtract tines for sound quality. HandGunner
when i asked primos for a free rattling bag they thaught it be funny to send me just the bag. well all i had to do was put in some scrap wood i cut down to the correct length and whatever size i wanted and they seem to work okay, never used them seriously but i think they would work. as said in a magazine it does not matter if you have real antlers or a rattle bag or plastic racks any deer that is in the rut should come in its mainly about the rattling sequence. id just cut them antlers into lengths that will fit a bag and just throw in any left over scraps of antlers and see how it works out.
