Ever tried this?

Anyone ever tried putting a couple silica gel packets in their utility boxes? Wonder if they would get rid of enough moisture and prevent rust...

Yea, I put it in a crankbait box...my hooks didnt rust yet. So far so good.

Get some Inhibitor VCI Pro Chips. Little pieces of what look like cardboard that fit in your tackle trays. One or two is enough for a 3700-size Stowaway. They work awesome...

You bet! I have two or three in each 3700 box, plus some in the bottom of my muskie box. I'm lucky in that where my wife works they get them with shippments so i have plenty plus a zip bag full of spares.Check them once in a while. If the crytals seem a little soft, replace them.

Cecil try the Inhibitor chips RK mentioned. I've used them for a couple of years now with great results.

both work well, I use the silica pacs as Iget them the seem tohelp prevent rust if you put a pack in each compartmnt they work well, had two spots I didnt put them out of a 3700 box and those jigs rusted?

Th one with the packs or the cardboard dealsdidnt rust
