Day After Big Waves on the pond

Ya them waves were pretty cool the day of the winds. I remember a storm a few years back that took out the boardwalk. When I was a kid there was one where the waves were at the lift bridge level coming over the break walls.

if i remember right, a long time ago on a day you describe there were some young people trying to evade the waves on the walkways out to the lighthouses on the lift bridge. they walked on the cement walls and would hold on the the post every time a big wave crashed over the walls. kind of a thrill thing. well two of those kids were swept into the lake and drowned. this thread reminded me of that. the power of the lake cant be underestimated. good luck.

Yup I remember that day very well. Tonight has almost that type potential. Calling for 65 mph gusts right off the lake. Ill see about some pics and maybe video but I cant promise I will get up the video.

Looked to me like a nice walleye chop or a lake trout chop.

The trick would be in keeping your boat from getting swamped
