Pike... Take another look. 1:35 stripes on fins. 1:55 No dorsal/adipose. Mouth shape. Eyes on top of head. PIKE! Great color so I see how you could confuse the two.

I also like that in the first video he is experimenting with some of the intoxicants used by the natives. Les always seems to be eating a nut, smoking some tree bark, etc that either makes him dizzy or makes his face go numb.

It isn't the real Les Stroud Survivorman that used to live just outside my hometown Burk's Falls but we will accept this one into our fold because he's closer to us hometown boys than the real one ever was . Only thing wrong with this video is that when he brought up the line it would have had a bag full of beer attached instead of a slimey ol pike . LOL
