Does anybody know of a good local (within 48 US) web site hosting with good prices ?

Just for a small web site, nothing too fancy, email, etc.

Valv if it is not too big you can use Google sites for free. Right now I have to build a HSOforum for a project and I was surprised at how much info you can throw on it. The downfall would be your site would have have a wuuw.googlesites/address for your link.

I changed the look so it would not show up as a link.

Powweb, google it. its like 4.88 a month. Ive had good luck with them, and will continue to use them. When they do go down, if they do go down, its fixed right away

How many hits you expecting? You can host on your computer at home if it is not too many hits. And if your isp doesn't mind.

Network solutions has a $5 a month hosting option that gives you 5 email addresses for a simple site. They have not been down on the two sites that i have. Very easy on line contro panel and builder tools if you need those to.

nomonthlyfees is very decent. Used them at my former company for 10 years, not 1 issue. Unlimited email too and I think it was like 50 gig a month...which is more than enough unless your running amazon or something.

You would have to pay for a static IP from your provider which is not cheap.

Powweb has pretty much unlimited everything, storage, bandwith, emails ect.

I know someone on Qwest DSL that is doing it. And he is too cheap to pay much. Looks like 5.95 per month if I understand it correctly.

I checked all the others, I think I'll stick with Innmotion Hosting. I am not unhappy at all, I was looking for a better price, but when compared the options, they are mostly the same, and I don't have to go through the hassle of moving the site.
