strikemaster gas tanks

after using the eskimo all season i decided to bring out the mag 2000 today well i put new gas in the tank and set it in the porch came out later to the smell of gas looked at the tank and it looked like it was leaking right in the middle of the tank so i guess my question here is are the older mag 2000 tanks two pieces molded together anyone else have this problem i just dumped the old gas out like a month ago and replaced it for the 1st time with amsoil could that be the problem somehow anyone else have a problem with this

If its the white tank with the springs that hold it on its two pieces and you probally shrunk the hose which acctually seal the hole its a filter that the hose is hooked to and you can take the hose off and push the filter thru the gas cap hole ,then cut a little of the hose off push thru the tank and attach to filter and reinstall in bottom of tank by pulling the fuel line back thru. push down lightly if you have to on the filter if this doesnt work you can order the parts from strike master as I have had to do this once before.
