leech~~
With the warm weather we are going to get this week we may lose a few lake landings. The lake I came off of tonight was like driving in a river and it's really only day one of a week long warm up!
Jack Peterson
eh, it'll keep the herds of people off my late ice hot spots. haha
IamZombie
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing today when we were getting off the lake.
sweatervest76
The lake I'm on had a 5ftx10ft area of open water by shore about 20ft from the landing so I'm going out tomorrow to get the perm off before I can't anymore.
bikeoutback
I wasn't even thinking of lake landings but when I got home tonight from fishing looking around my driveway and all the water just pouring off my garage roof I realized things are going to become a mess around here if it doesn't freeze back down soon. Next though, [PoorWordUsage] things are going to be really really slippery when it freezes again. I say when cause I know better and it's only mid February. fishfearme
I don't believe the hype. The ice is going nowhere anytime soon. Its not like its the first time we have ever had slop at an access.
TruthWalleyes
Ice will go out on April 4 this year ...Plenty of time to go yet.

Abndoc
Omg. the sky is falling Is this going to affect the fishing?
that_guy
It'll only effect fishing at first while the sky is actually falling. After its fallen you can expect a short time of weak fishing, but Once the fish get used to the lack of a sky the bite should turn back on.Good luck

You are right though, about a tough bite for a few days after.
olbaidhh
With this warm front pushing through I am worried about whether or not I will still need a license for my auger extension?
fishfearme
You won't this weekend if you take a kid fishing. No license needed if you are fishing with children this weekend.
slabz
ha this happens every year basically. some warm weather or rain in feburary and people start to think its done! well come the end of march, we will still be fishing, like always. Swimmer
I agree that the accesses will freeze back up. However I had to back the Jeep up last night and make a run to get up the access. Time to do some walking out for a week or so. If I had a permanent, I might be sweating a little because you never know.

Was just out on Eagle, Maple Grove, the landing does concern me some. Guess if worse comes to worst I have. barrels enough to make a house boat, just gotta buy the sticker is all. leech~~
I th's too funny, We see new posts all the time here from kneejerk reactions Thats why the post says we (may) lose some landings. I was just posting what I found at the lake I came off of last Sunday. This was more for people with perm's to think about. I use a sled and porty so yes it's not going to effect me a bit. Sorry for thinking about others!
SFC
I would say it was a good post. I dont recall having a warmup like we have had with this amount of snow cover. Dont recall alot of rain days in feb. either. The post didnt say the ice was gone. If I had a permy that had any value to it in the metro it would be off the ice, weathermen cant predict the weather, oh wait I will now start beleaving fishermen predicting the weather.
