matchset Posted February 9, 2011 Share Posted February 9, 2011 first sit.took a buddy out, had a big coyote come busting in within 40seconds of letting out a rabbit squeak. the big guy came in straight down wind- right to my back-side... buddy barely got a shot off with his pistol cuz he wasn't able to swing his .223 on sticks in time. second sit. Nothing.Third sit. had a two groups of coyotes light up howling. yip yip howl. but never came in. any advice on this last sit? what can i do to convince them to come in? walleyes12 Posted February 9, 2011 Share Posted February 9, 2011 More than likely you had two pairs howlings. Pick a pair and work closer to them. Usually if they howl the howls you described, they are telling you they are over here, we dont feel comfortable coming in any closer. Work you way into their comfort range.
