New Info on Centerville Lion's Contest

Although the Centerville Lion's do not sanction parking on the lake we cannot stop you from doing it. Shuttle buses will be available but if you choose to park on the ice it will be at your own risk. Thank you for your support.

I assume we just pick up tickets at the shuttle or wherever the shuttle brings us, correct?

im assuming if its like years past, (despite the shuttle) the shuttle will bring you to the ice and you can go up to the lions booth and get your tickets, and raffle tickets there

So what were the results this year, I missed it this year, must of been just perfect out there.

It was really nice out there. They had ski planes takin kids up on rides, the booya was excellent, weather was great too, lots of people turned out.

Fishing was alright, early northern action around my crew was pretty good, saw some bass pulled up too. My buddies had a few of the early fish caught, both sunnies.

I think 7.4lb pike took big fish, something close to that anyway. A guy next to me pulled up a 4+ pounder that was in the lead for a minute or two, before another 4 pounder edged him out.

We were pullin up 3-6" sunfish/perch/crappie all day long. My buddy lost 2 big fish (my guess is 1 walleye, and 1 pike)... both on suckers. One bit through the line, the other... well, my buddy got too anxious and set the hook early. Oops.

Fun time though, I'll likely do it again next year.
