ice-fishin
Bought a brand new Strikemaster Lazer Mag this year. Used it twice....first time to fire it up in the driveway, and second time to cut some holes. After each time, noticed the smell of gas in the garage and in my portable. Took the power head off and tried my best to find the leak. No luck. Left the power head on the work bench overnight, to find the newspaper I had under it soaked in gas. Took the unit to Strikemaster for help. Mike K. worked on the unit for me. Mike couldn't find the leak, but replaced everything that could have been the culprit. All under warranty. Imagine if my auger were instead a "Government Motors" vehicle. I would have been sent away until I couid prove that there was a fuel leak. It's nice to deal with a local company that understands and lives the meaning of customer service. By the way, I've read a number of posts about running Amsoil Saber in Strikmeasters. Sounds like is it liquid magic! I am running Amsoil Interceptor. Anyone have any fedback on this product?

ozzie
ask the oilman on the forum....for the few bucks in gas and oil in your $400-500 auger I would say dump and add Amsoil Sabre Pro....not worth the risk!!

theoilman
Interceptor pre-mixed at 50-1 carries a rating of "Good" for air-cooled pre-mix 2-cycle engines including augers. So if you are mixed at 50-1 you are OK to use it up. If mixed leaner you need more oil!You can order Saber Professional direct with this link, and normally get next business day delivery.
