I just need some information about which will be a better fit. I fould a 2 year old Strikemaster Laser Mag Express (9") and also a 2 year old Jiffy STX Pro (9") I am just wondering which would be better I am working on trying to get my first set up but trying to buy used is a little hard....

I really appreciate all the help and information you guys provide

Love my lazer mag. Much lighter than the jiffy's. I used my uncles jiffy for a few years and it was a beast and had a hard time stayin running until it was warmed up. My choice would be the Strike master for those reasons above. Both will drill holes and get you fishing so that is what really matters most. Good luck. Hope this helps.

As said above. The Strikemasters are a lot lighter. I ran a Jiffy for 2 seasons that I got from my grandpa. I sold it last year and up graded to the new Solo lazer mag with a 7inch bit. I do a lot of drilling and hole hopping so it fits my needs. So if your gonna drill more holes go SM it will last just as long as the Jiffy's will.
