Can't wait any longer-TOMORROW!

I'm going to try a small south metro lake tomorrow. It's under 100 acres and under 15' deep. It's been iced over all week. Should be good, but I'll test frequently as I go. I'll give a report tomorrow unless I'm at the hospital or the bottom of the lake.

You guys think we've waited long enough, or am I crazy?

Here's my report- There was 4" in shallow, but the ice got thinner as I proceeded out. Areas covered by snow had 2-2.5" and without snow had 2.5-3" it wasn't enough ice for me to feel comfortable, so i fished shallow, over 3" of ice in about 8 feet of water. I caught 2 crappies and missed 3 light biting fish in about an hour. I didn't move around much because I didn't want to risk being a cautionary tale. I'd suggest waiting a little longer. It was a little frightening.

I live on South Lindstrom lake, and I went walking my shoreline and could make the ice flows bow and spout little water funnels. I think I'll wait another week or two before I even consider stepping more than 2 feet away from shoreline.
