Surface Tension
A pillow case will solve that problem. It keeps the element clean from dust, and road crud too.
Jim Almquist
Cabela's sells a nice carrier case for $20.00 to $25.00. If you can find a poly feed bag should hold a Big Buddy. They are like a gunny sack bit made from a heavy duty poly weave.

riverman
I have a Big Buddy and have had a hard time lighting after it got snow on it. Carry azipplock with some Q-tips in it and clean out and dry the tube where the pilot light is this should fix it.
songbirds
Yes I did. I removed the adaptor that the propane cylinder screws into and blew it out. Just to make sure the pilot worked-I lit it with a match first, and let it run for a few minutes. All is well. Now I keep it covered. Hope this helps.
